Perth - Jakarta - Amsterdam - London with Garuda.
Here we are waiting to board the flight to London via Amsterdam. Jakarta Airport was a little warm & sticky.
Monkey is also coming on tour!
Boarded the plan in Jakarta and got comfy. After about 2 hours the plane experienced 'technical issues and then we returned to Jakarta. When we got to Jakarta we had to circle for at least an hour to use up some fuel.
We got stuck in the terminal for a while with loads of Garuda staff on the ground not having a clue what to do! By this time we were all super tired. Olivia and Thomas were the only ones small enough to get a bit of sleep while we waited.
Eventually we were advised that we would be going to a hotel so at 4-15am Jakarta time we went outside into the thick, smoggy & hot air to wait for a bus.. Got to the hotel and fell into bed at 5am. Got up at 7am for showers and breakie. We were picked up at 8am and transferred to the airport for a 10am flight (take 2!)
This time the flight went well and 15 + hours later we arrived in London via a stopover in Amersterdam
super tired by this stage so we booked into a hotel at Gatwick for a bed & shower to start the day nice and fresh.
